Summer Solstice 2011

1:16 PM DC Time marks the official start of this year's Summer Solstice. The days are going to start getting shorter soon but I will try to enjoy the longest day in the northern hemisphere with joy in my heart. Note: God will not let you miss anything that He doesn't want you to miss. But He will make you miss events and incidents that you don't need. Have to keep reminding myself this! I COME BACK TO YOU POETRY

I come back to you poetry
when I have left you eons ago
I return to your beautiful phrases
when I abandoned you for chaos
will you ever forgive me?
will you ever welcome me back?
I need your comforting utterances
I need your soothing iambs
the syllables so melodious
they elate my saddened heart
they remind me of the wonderful mystery
of a world seemingly mundane
but deep beneath, digging deep
I find jewels and precious stones
of the human soul and spirit
